IMPORTANT: YUMMY will keep running on the ITN. I had taken the decision not to run on mainnet, mainly for security reasons, but also for competitive reasons. I was sad to take that decision, but I will let the "pros" run on mainnet. So, having a chance (we'll see what IOG will propose in the near future) to keep participating to the good of the project is an opportunity I don't want to miss.
Yummy Stake Pool has been built by a Cardano enthusiast, with much care, along with a lot of help from the wonderful Cardano community. It is hosted in Switzerland, on a bare metal server, running Ubuntu 18.04.4, dedicated only to serving the Cardano blockchain. Specs are the following:
RYZEN 3 / 3.6 GHz 4 core CPU
16Gb DDR4 3200 Ram
Western Digital SSD drives
10Gb fiber connection
QNAP 10Gb ethernet adapter
Currently running Jormungandr 0.8.19
Why Yummy stakepool?
As mentionned earlier, the sole purpose of the server is to run the node implementation developped by IOHK to support the Cardano network. It is monitored with automatic alerts sent to me, your servant, to ensure optimum uptime.
I am an IT technician with over 10 years experience, also a musician, guitar maker, and astronomy fan. I always take great care when engaging in any new project, including this one
I shortly experienced delegating ADA's to others, loved it, and decided to participate to the decentralization of the network. After carefully setting up the server and the node, they ended up being stable and the beast was ready to be unleashed. It has been registered on the blockchain since epoch 60.
Delegate to YUMMY, sit down, and enjoy your coffee!
YUMMY performed extremely well during the time window that was given to operators. I want to thank all of you that delegated and supported the pool. Big thank to the community members that made it possible for me and others to run a successful pool. I am eagerly waiting to know what IOG will propose to keep the ITN being an active part of the Cardano project. This has been such a beautiful journey that I want it to carry on :-)
PoolTool and AdaPools are everyone's reference
Pegasus Tool helps you follow and monitor your favourite stakepools. It has been developped by the owner of Pegasus Stake pool
You can also add @PoolToolBot in Telegram and registrer YUMMY 0 to follow it's live status
Chris Graffagnino put up a guide, Jormungandr for Newbs, that is very detailed and helped me a lot during the journey. If you do follow it, please buy him a beer!
